How is a puppet made? Where does the story of an object begin — an object that can become a character, a companion or a small theatrical world? A hands-on workshop led by Czech set designer and puppeteer Bára Hubená guides participants through crafting simple wooden puppets and toys, and through the basic principles of puppetry: the relationship between material, movement and imagination.

Bára Hubená is a Czech set designer, artist and toy maker and a graduate of DAMU. She collaborates long-term with puppet theatres across the Czech Republic and Slovakia and leads creative woodworking workshops.
