Pneu

PNEU is a physical performance by Czech choreographer and performer Viktor Černický in which four bodies and hundreds of kilograms of tyres turn into an ever-shifting playground of chaos, energy and collective effort. On stage, tyres become obstacles, toys, architecture and partners in an endless struggle against gravity, exhaustion and balance. Performers are forced to adapt and constantly reinvent the rules of engagement as they shatter and reassemble.

Drawing from philosopher Nassim Nicholas Taleb’s concept of antifragility — the idea that certain systems thrive not despite chaos, but because of it — PNEU transforms theory into a living stage organism. The greater the pressure and discomfort, the greater the need for cooperation, movement and fresh solutions. The result is a hypnotic performance filled with physical intensity, humour, playfulness and unexpected humanity.
