Data controller

The controller of your personal data is Bratislavské bábkové divadlo (Bratislava Puppet Theatre), Dunajská 36, 811 08 Bratislava, Slovak Republic (“BBD” or “we”). What data we process, why and on what legal basis

Operation and security of the website. When you visit the website, the server automatically records technical data such as your IP address, the date and time of access, the pages visited, your browser and operating system type and the address of the page that referred you to us. We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in keeping the website functional and secure and protecting it against attacks and misuse. The records are kept only for as long as necessary for this purpose, generally no longer than 12 months.

Communicating with you. If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, we process your name, contact details and the content of your message in order to deal with your request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in communicating with festival visitors (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or, where applicable, the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep this data while your request is being handled and afterwards for as long as necessary to protect our rights.

Tickets. Tickets for festival events are sold through an external ticketing system to which the links on this website redirect you. Personal data entered when purchasing a ticket is processed by the operator of that system under its own privacy terms, which you should read before purchasing.

Cookies and similar technologies. Detailed information is given in the Cookies section below. Strictly necessary cookies are used on the basis of legitimate interest and Section 109(8) of Act No. 452/2021 Coll.; all other cookies are used only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

We do not carry out automated individual decision-making or profiling with legal effects on you through this website.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They allow the website to work properly, remember your choices and – if you agree – measure traffic or display relevant content. We use the Cookie-Script service to manage cookie consent. On your first visit a banner is displayed in which you can choose which categories of cookies to allow. Your decision is stored in the technical cookie CookieScriptConsent so that we do not have to ask you on every visit.

The website uses the following categories of cookies:

Third-party content. The website displays Google Maps (Venues page) and YouTube videos. These services are provided by Google, which may store its own cookies in your browser and process your data in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy when this content is loaded. Third-party content is loaded only to the extent you have allowed in your cookie settings.

Changing your settings. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the Cookie settings link. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; in that case, however, some parts of the website may not work properly.

List of cookies in use. The current list of all cookies used on this website, including their provider, purpose and lifetime:

Recipients of data

We do not sell personal data or pass it on to third parties for their own purposes. Our processors who operate the website on our behalf may have access to the data – in particular the web hosting provider, the cookie consent management provider (Cookie-Script) and the providers of embedded content (Google). We have data processing agreements in place with our processors. We may also disclose data to public authorities where required by law.

Transfers to third countries

We process data primarily within the European Union. When Google services are used, data may be transferred to the USA. Such transfers take place on the basis of a European Commission adequacy decision (the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Retention period

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected, or for the period required by law. The lifetime of individual cookies is stated in the list of cookies above; cookie consent is valid for a maximum of 12 months, after which we will ask you to renew it.

Your rights

In connection with the processing of your personal data you have the right:

You can exercise your rights in writing at the controller’s registered address or via the contact details in the footer of this website. We will respond to your request without undue delay and at the latest within one month of receiving it.
